Are you a young person? We need you!
SCCRAC seeks to cultivate youth leadership and support youth-adult partnerships. In order to put these principles into practice, the SCCRAC is developing the Youth Council. The SCCRAC Youth Council is a forum where:
- Youth develop rules for the Youth Council.
- Youth lead meetings and govern the Youth Council.
- Youth become members of the SCCRAC Board of Directors, making decisions with others for the organization.
- Youth generate ideas for projects and play a role in making the projects happen.
- Youth meet with the SCCRAC staff to share their opinions and ideas about prevention projects.
- Youth have a safe, supportive environment in which to develop their skills.
- Youth participate in fundraising, grant writing and social change activities.
- Youth network with other youth groups.
