SCCRAC Youth Council
Are you a young person? We need you!

SCCRAC seeks to cultivate youth leadership and support youth-adult partnerships. In order to put these principles into practice, the SCCRAC is developing the Youth Council. The SCCRAC Youth Council is a forum where:

  • Youth develop rules for the Youth Council.
  • Youth lead meetings and govern the Youth Council.
  • Youth become members of the SCCRAC Board of Directors, making decisions with others for the organization.
  • Youth generate ideas for projects and play a role in making the projects happen.
  • Youth meet with the SCCRAC staff to share their opinions and ideas about prevention projects.
  • Youth have a safe, supportive environment in which to develop their skills.
  • Youth participate in fundraising, grant writing and social change activities.
  • Youth network with other youth groups.
