SCCRAC works to coordinate needed services in the substance abuse field along the continuum of care (i.e. community awareness and education ,prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery)
SCCRAC is continuously seeking new funding sources to provide regional services. Our current funders include:
- DMHAS
- Community Foundation of Greater New Haven
- CT Tobacco Settlement Fund
Local Prevention Councils, or LPCs, are community coalitions working to prevent youth substance abuse at the local level.
There are 11 LPCs in the South Central CT Region, each with its own unique identity. (See the outer circles in the graphic above).
SCCRAC operates as an LPC hub - catalyzing LPC prevention efforts and developing regional prevention infrastructure.
