The NECASA College Card Campaign

About the NECASA College Card

New Program:

Northeast Communities Against Substance Abuse (NECASA) is collaborating with
the University of Connecticut (UCONN) and Quinebaug Valley Community College (QVCC) to create a “crisis intervention” card which will provide information and quick links to services for substance abuse and mental health emergencies on the participating campuses.  NECASA has had a similar successful program with middle schools and high schools for thirteen years.

Local businesses which provide food and entertainment for college age students will provide discounts for presentation of the laminated “College Card” with a valid College I.D.  This is in an effort to have students retain the card which stresses the warning signs of alcohol poisoning and commitments to be healthy members of the college community.

For more information about the NECASA “College Card” and other NECASA programs email us at necasa@snet.net

This card can help you and your friends, so keep it and enjoy the discounts.
