Incorporated in 1990, ERASE (East of the River
Action for Substance-Abuse Elimination, Inc.) is a
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is one of 15
Regional Action Councils in Connecticut established
by state legislation passed in 1989. Regional
Action Councils have formed the
Connecticut Prevention Network.
ERASE is funded through the Connecticut Department
of Mental Health and Addiction Services Prevention
Services Unit and Problem Gambling Services, and the Hartford Foundation
for Public Giving.
All contributions to ERASE are tax-deductible.

Mission
Statement: ERASE's mission is to increase the
resiliency of youth and the capacity of communities in our 15-town
region as they fight together against substance abuse, addictions
and other related issues.
Towns
served include Andover, Bolton, East Hartford, East Windsor,
Ellington, Enfield, Glastonbury, Hebron, Manchester, Marlborough,
Somers, South Windsor, Stafford, Tolland, and Vernon.
